Great little place to eat. Service was very friendly. The food was fresh. Hard to see from the road. You have to park and walk around the building. I would recommend all day.

Great little marina restaurant on the Halifax River. Breakfast is always great. The Greek omelet is perfect. Breakfast, no matter how we have ordered it, has always been very good.

Great southern food and hospitality. View of the river. Feels like a local hotspot. The waitresses know the customers well. I liked the hot sausage and grits. Service fast and friendly. Worth finding!

I love breakfast and boy did we enjoy Pat's! Quaint little local-feel of a place and well worth the stop! Their special selection was above and beyond what you normally see! Dad had the breakfast bowl and the gravy in it was the best I've had in memory! The croissant sandwich was eggcelent! Three eggs with choice of meat and cheese was plenty of food and at the right price! I couldn't get enough of the coffee, it was hot and really tasty! Staff was friendly and great! It will definitely become a regular stop for us when we are in town! I highly recommend you stop by and try it out for yourself!

If you had a grandmother that cooked while you ate, then you would love this place. Home cooking and family ambiance a plenty. We had breakfast there and it was delicious. It is a little rustic inside but we loved it. It's what you would expect to find on the side of a dirt road in central Illinois. Definitely would return

I first want to say I read the reviews and then made my decision to come here. My opinion may not be worth the time it takes to read this, but it seems to me that when one reviews a place the first consideration should be what is this place trying to be. Then I review effort and the product, so using thIs theory I am able to give what I feel are fair ratings across the board, yes it is possible to have a restaurant that has plastic covered tables with mis-matched chairs from every decade in the past fifty years and a kitchen that looks like it came out of fishing camp along the river with a gravel parking lot where cut off shorts and flip flops are the preferred dress code, the same as a swanky bistro in New York City that requires a coat, tie, reservations and mandatory valet parking that serves unrecognizable cuisine that requires a credit line to have dinner. I like both and I can enjoy both equally without being pretentious. Today we came here with the expectation that this was going to be a real treat, a chance to experience that Old Florida Charm. When I turned into the drive it was just as I had hope it to be, yes it was exactly what I described above (the first description). Everything about this place is real, the people, the conversation, the effort, the food, it is transparency at its best. I joked about the coffee when it arrived in what looked like a bowl with a handle on it, after looking around I found there wasn't a matching cup in the house I think that is so cool. I don't care if mine came from a thrift store, garage sale or happened to be an old salesman's prop it was awesome. After looking at the menu I knew I was not going to be eating the standard breakfast chain special here but I also didn't want to wonder to far from my reality either. The selections are very different in my opinion some may say odd but there are some what would be consider standard fare as well. For me it had to be "Pat's Bacon Cheese-Burger Omelette" I admit I was a little scared so I omitted the onions and tomato, unbeknown to me at the time I ordered it this is the most popular omelette imagine that and unbelievably delicious. The fresh ground beef is crumbled and grilled then folded into fresh scrambled eggs with pieces of real bacon crumbled with melted Swiss cheese, it was amazing, honestly I could go on and on but you must try one of their unique dishes for yourself, whether it's fried bologna, chipped beef, or scrabble (I could never be that brave) or a host of others if that's your thing I am sure it will be a great experience.

While visiting the Daytona Beach area, we had to come here for breakfast as it was our parents favorite breakfast place. As in the past, we were not disappointed. We had the seafood omelet, vegetarian omelet & eggs, grits & bacon. The food came hot to our table and our coffee cups were constantly refilled. The atmosphere is wonderful, waitresses very friendly, old south comfort decor. We had a wonderful breakfast and reminiscing the good old days eating here with Dad & Mom. We will definitely come back again when visiting this area.

Mike D.'s review is perfectly stated.

I've been coming to Pat's for breakfast for years when I'm in Daytona. Definitely a hole-in-the-wall, but with a lot of character. I think the most expensive thing on the menu was the eggs benedict for somewhere around $8.99, and the staff is great. Not necessarily the healthy choice, but definitely the right spot if you are burnt out on the touristy restaurants or chains and would rather have a down home meal and rub elbows with the local crowd.

I have been coming here for breakfast for years. Pat's is in a great location on the water not far from the East side of the Port Orange bridge. It's a great breakfast and lunch spot. Good food, reasonably priced and always fast, friendly service. One of my favorite hangouts for breakfast. Finding a parking spot can be challenging during peak hours but it's worth the trouble. Bon Apetité "life's too short for bland food, bad wine, weak coffee or cheap whiskey" Ray

I can't speak to the lunch or dinner options, but I can safely say that the seafood omelet was the worst brunch meal that I have ever experienced. Maybe I should have known when I saw imitation crab as the main ingredient, but fish plates have been so consistently good in this part of the country that I decided to give it a try. Baby (and I mean like 1/4th of an inch) frozen shrimp are wrapped up with the imitation crab in some eggs and slathered with what i'd suppose is "imitation" cheese. Gross city! The ambiance was nice though so I have to give 'em an extra star. I will not be going back or recommending this place to fellow travelers.

Kinda dirty little place on the river. Went for breakfast. It was basic. Restrooms are disgusting. It's ok I guess, but you could see they were cooking with Wal-Mart generic "Great Value" ingredients. IDK...not going to go back.

What is wrong with you people! Omg.....have any of you that rated this "diner" any more than 1 star ever eaten anything good! I feel so sorry for you if you think the food there is edible! Seriously horrible! Coffee - no taste, pancakes - no taste, home fries - disgusting! Bacon - grease laiden! Filthy! Hot! Flies! The only thing nice was the waitresses! Do not waste your time or money. And to all of you that go there on a regular basis......please, please, please......go somewhere clean and with good food!

While in Daytona on a family vacation, we've been trying to look for smaller local places to eat via Yelp instead of going to the gaggle of pizza joints and fast food places near the hotel. We tried Pat's Riverfront Cafe for breakfast one morning and had a great breakfast for very reasonable prices. It is a cash-only place, so remember to bring some. Date: 04/06 around 9AM We were able to sit down immediately, although it was surprisingly crowded. The seating area is pretty small, but you can't beat the ambiance. A tiny building sitting next to a small marina on the intercoastal waterway, and there is some outdoor seating available (picnic tables under a tent). Staff is very friendly and pointed out the specials. They helped each other to keep everyone serviced, and we got our food very quick Ordered: * Scrambler (one of the specials) -- 3 eggs with 2 meats and topped with cheese, with homefries and 2 toast. * Ham and Cheese omelet, with grits and toast. * Kids pancake meal (1 pancake, 1 slice bacon + drink) -- this was in the shape of Mickey Mouse! * Kids French Toast meal (2 pieces, 1 slice bacon + drink) Coffee + lg OJ + 2 milks Food was great, portion size was just right, everyone was satisfied. Price point is great. Not a fancy place, but had everything we wanted for a vacation meal. It's a hole-in-the-wall, but as most Yelpers know, that's where the real treasures are. In my opinion, there's a lack of places to eat here that aren't chains and completely overrun with other travelers, so this was a real find for us. We'll probably go back next weekend when we come back through.

First time here will definatly be back food and service was real good. Nice atomsphere and view of river and marina.

Ate breakfast there today and we will be back. The cheeseburger omelette was delicious as was my husband's sausage and pancakes. They close at 2:00, so we know we will enjoy lunch there later this week.

I second the other Mike D's earlier review. This is a choice breakfast spot for me whenever I visit with good food at a great price. But the atmosphere is my favorite part. Very friendly and homey and seemingly unchanged since the 60's (has it really been around that long.. I've only known of it for the past year and keep forgetting to ask the staff about the history).

My favorite Breakfast eating place when in the Daytona Beach area. Been coming here since before 1990ish when visiting my SIL in Port Orange. We go for a beach walk on Daytona Beach in early morning as the prelude to an "undiet" menu of sinfull proportions, selections and price !!! Superb service by a very courteous, trained and caring wait staff. The HOOKER is I can have COLD WHITE WINE with breakfast after the long sometimes humid walk. Always ice cold and extremely refreshing. The food preparation is top drawer so forget about calories. The pre-walk is for increasing blood flow only !! You save your daily calorie count by not thinking about anything else to eat before supper...Oh well, excepting for some more cool wine while waiting. My SIL is lucky enough to lice very close to Pat's and I envy her...great choice. Even if you arrive with a long waiting list , the wait is worth the experience..pj

A homey greasy-spoon diner stuck incongruously behind a tiny marina; a hidden gem. To find your way into Pat's, turn just north of the giant boathouse (you'll see it) and head into the lot toward the river. After you've parked, take in the sailboats bobbing on the Intracoastal, then follow the porch toward the smell of coffee, grease, and good cheer. You'll see the cook through the window up front, tentatively mixing a lumpy bowl of batter with an enormous whisk. It's that kind of joint. The food here is good, simple diner food. Eggs, grits, toast, meat, etc. Sandwiches and soup for lunch. The fish from my breakfast was respectable flounder of the frozen-and-pre-breaded variety. But for $5.99 with 2 eggs and grits...sheesh, it was fine. You'll be hard pressed to spend more than 10 bucks a head here. The location is top notch, the service is friendly and quick...a real winner. Other things: cash only, open for breakfast and lunch only, they do serve beer (Bud) and--oddly enough--mimosas. Fish, grits, and champagne on the Intracoastal. Tell me where you can beat that.

Go early in the morning just after they open to eat with the locals, and miss the crowds and waiting. Check the specials board and make sure you bring cash. The pancakes are huge!
